your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team
is seeking a Senior Avionics Production Support Engineer -
Fighters, in Berkeley, MO.Position Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert for Fighters Avionics systems for
Production and fleet support operations
- Work directly with manufacturing team and aircrew to identify,
diagnose, and solve avionics or electrical related issues
- Direct support of all tactical fighters production and ramp
operations in St. Louis, including F-15, F/A-18, T-7, and future
fighter programs
- Tests and validates equipment to ensure system designs meet
operational and functional requirements
- Work directly with program management and production ops team
in determining next steps and schedule impacts to technical
issues
- Solves problems concerning and provides other support of
fielded hardware and software in the fleetThis position is expected
to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work
onsite at one of the listed location options. This position
requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which
the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of
employment.
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is
required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science.
- Tactical Fighters platform knowledge
- Experience with military avionics technology and their
associated interfaces, including MIL-STD-1553, Serial buses (i.e.
RS-170, RS-422 or RS-232), RF, hardware discrete IO,
fiber/ethernet, etc.
- Experience in troubleshooting and fixing complex electrical and
avionics systems
- Level 4: 9+ years of experience leading or working similar
projects or teams with a Bachelor's OR 7+ years work-related
experience with a Masters OR 4+ years work-related experience with
a PhDPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Technical problem investigation and resolution experience at
platform integration level
- Experience troubleshooting electrical cabling and wire harness
issues
- Strong technical coordination between Boeing teams and outside
suppliers
- Knowledge of avionics quality inspection and acceptance
processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing process
- Experience in avionics software, mission planning, and crypto
loading procedures
- Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams,
functional diagrams
- Subsystem functional and integration test procedure development
and execution
- Strong technical coordination skills between Boeing teams and
outside suppliers
- Leadership experience in knowledge transfer of subsystem
knowledgeTypical Education/Experience:Level 4: Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related
work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the
USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation
