Role Description:
In the role of Project Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team that live by Safety National's Core Values: Integrity, Teamwork, Relationships, Balance and Stability. This position is a mid-level professional position which contributes to the accomplishments of Project Management practices and objectives that will achieve business goals and objectives. You will work closely with other Senior Project Managers and the Director of Portfolio Delivery to perform project management tasks as assigned following Project Management Life Cycle/System Development Life Cycle processes and guidelines. Your contributions of creating and sustaining processes and guidelines will be felt throughout Safety National.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Project Manager will include developing detailed plans and schedules using Microsoft Project or similar project management tool, manage the delivery process of key systems for our application owners on time, on budget and to user satisfaction, and to manage multiple projects of moderate to large size concurrently. You may also be assigned various projects like, identifying impediments to daily work and works to mitigate or eliminate risks/issues accordingly including escalation, participating in the evaluation and recommendation of jobs' best practices with respect to processes and documentation to best suit the needs of Safety National.
The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently to fully complete a task and project. Someone who can work in a team environment but also have the ability to communicate and have the ability to solve problems and think critically. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, understanding of software development life cycles (agile, waterfall, iterative) and experience in working with distributed team members.

Qualifications:
Education:

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • Minimum of five years of Project Management experience
    
  • Understanding of software life cycles (agile, waterfall, iterative)
    
  • Detail oriented and possess a desire for quality
    
  • Motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused
    
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $73,000 to $117,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
