All scanners are Siemens and have identical protocols. - The intra-operative 3.0t MR scanner is utilized for surgical, anesthesia, inpatient and outpatient exams. - We have a Quality Assurance program and a Continuing Education Resource center just for Imaging. - Evening/Night/Weekend/Holiday parking connected to Hospital. - Imaging staff room furnishes individual lockers as well. SLU Hospital is an academic institute as well as a Level 1 Trauma facility that offers exceptional pay, benefits, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, matching retirement funds.Call requirement: 1 weekend every 5 weeks, Mon-Thu every 7 weeks* Sign-on Bonus paid IN FULL on 1st paycheck. - Qualified external candidates only -Job Summary:Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director, and Manager performs diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:Performs magnetic resonance imaging examinations. .Assesses for vein/site selection and initiates venipuncture per established standards. Documents venipuncture site/contrast in RIS per established departmental guidelines.Demonstrates knowledge of cross sectional anatomy. Knows MR anatomical landmarks and able to recognize abnormalities and alert radiologist as needed.Observes establishes departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program safety, environmental and infection control standards. -DISCLAIMER: Performs other duties as assigned or requested.Job SpecificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of Accredited MR program and MR Certification eligibleMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience preferred but new grads welcome!REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ARRT, additional certification in MR preferred or Graduate of Accredited MR program.
